The 1981-82 CX500 Custom continued the cruiser-styled version of the CX with its pulled-back bars, stepped seat, small tank and 16-inch rear wheel. Mechanically it stayed close to the earlier Custom, though it benefited from Honda's ongoing engine revisions. 1982 was its final year before the 650 cc CX650C replaced it.
